Day 50-53: Rest, Rest and More Rest!

Day 50 included a rest day as it was Sunday. I didn't have a volleyball game so it was really a "rest" day for me which is abnormal. I am always doing something to stay active it seems like but today was different. Week 7 started this week which is a REST week for me. I challenged myself to a 3-day cleanse with Shakeology with limited calorie intake so this worked out perfectly. Check out my 3day cleanse and see if you are up for the challenge. End of Day 2 and I had lost 2.5 lbs. Sweet! Monday, was Yoga X and I only got about 3/4 of it done due to time constrains but that is ok because I was pooped after this low calorie day.

Day 52 was Core Synergistics and because I knew this was a more challenging workout so I added in some extra calories with fruit (clementines) and some veggies (baby carrots) so help me get through it. I am so glad that I did because I was "wasted" after all of that.

Day 53: Core Cardio and Balance from Insanity was my workout today! I absolutely love this workout because it is fun, lower intensity (compared to other Insanity workouts) yet still gives you a great workout. I followed this up with a little Brazil Butt Lift "high & tight" and I felt amazing. Really looking forward to seeing my results from this rest week and my "cleanse" with Shakeology. I will post results tomrrow!

Day 48-49: Insanity's Max Cardio Conditioning

I decided that since I only have about 3.5 weeks until Beachbody's Coach Summit that I had better kick it into gear and kick my workouts up a notch. If you haven't read, I signed up to workout LIVE with Shaun T as an incentive to get in tip-top shape before I go. So, I decided to jump this week into Month 2 workouts from Insanity. Today was Max Cardio Conditioning and boy was it a sweat wrenching workout to say the least. This is a 45 minute workout including a warm-up and about 30 minutes of pure cardio based moves. Even though I wasn't able to complete all of the moves for the entire minute, I was able to do more and had more endurance than I had anticipated so I was really pumped about that. Most of the moves and exercises done in this workout are new and some of them you will see in the first month of workouts like Pure Cardio but it was so much fun. I love it when I have that much sweat coming off my face. It just makes me feel like a million buck-a-roo's. I was really sore on Sunday (rest day and day 49) which was also Easter. I knew that I was going to follow a healthy nutrition plan very well this weekend so that extra workout was awesome!

I started a Shakeology 3-day cleanse today (Monday: Day 50) as I needed to jump-start my fitness and nutrition program again. I have about 10 lbs that I really want to get off before Summit so wish me luck. I will be posting my progress about that adventure as well for the next 3-days. So far so good!

Day 47: Legs & Back, Ab Ripper X

Day 47: OMG, I love this legs workout as it just makes me feel so great and strong. The wall squats used to be something I dreaded but now, I welcome them and also the one-leg wall squats. I am still using the resistance bands, not by choice but because the door frames in my office do not fit any pull-up bar. It is an old building with wide trimmed doors and nothing will fit them. :-( So, I compromise with the bands which are ok, but I need to figure something else out. I am ready to take it to the next level. One of the reasons that I enjoy Insanity so much is because it doesn't require any weights or equipment other than your own body weight.

Ab Ripper X is getting so much easier and I actually don't really dread it anymore like I used to. I have been mixing in some Tummy Tuck from Brazil Butt Lift and also Cardio Abs from Insanity and that has really given my core the strength it needs to perform well with this workout. I am going to attempt to do Max Cardio Conditioning from Insanity tomorrow so if I don't blog past Day 47, I did not make it! Wish me luck as I haven't done this one in quite sometime. Bring it in whatever you do today and everyday!

Day 46: Yoga X

Today was not a good workout day as I was scheduled to do Yoga X from P90X and I was about 20 minutes into the program and my husband called for assistance. Therefore, it just didn't get all the way done. I was disappointed because my body was really begging for this but I hope to finish the rest of it up on Sunday which is scheduled to be my rest day. I really don't have much to post this day, and I am sorry. :-( Legs and Back with a little Ab Ripper X and I look forward to that as last Friday I was unable to do it because I was sick with the flu. Bring it!

Day 45: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps: Ab Ripper

Today was a jam packed workout because I did my last P90X Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps workout of the 2nd month of my hybrid program. I was blown away by the strength that I have gained as a result of this workout. I was able to do more floor flys (less reps on my knees with actual push-ups) and a few more one-arm push-ups of course mostly on my knees but that is OK. I still rocked it out and did my very best today. I am amazed at my biceps that I am building that I am so excited about wearing short sleeved shirts now that the weather is getting nicer each day. Now, I need to lose some inches around my butt so I started doing High and Tight from Brazil Butt lift so that I can reach that goal as well. Ab Ripper was awesome today as I was able to do all of the V-up sit ups. It rocked and I cheered! Have a great day everyone. Talk to you tomorrow. Yoga X today!

What Does A Beachbody Coach Do?

I have been asked a lot lately about what we do as Team Beachbody Coaches so I thought I would share this video with my readers. I hope that you enjoy it as much as much as I enjoyed putting it together. If you are interested in joining my team as a coach, get in touch with me!

Day 44: Insanity's Max Interval Circuit

Because I am in my last few days of training before my LIVE workout with Shaun T at the end of April at the Beachbody Coach Summit, I decided to up my cardio workouts from Insanity from Month 1 to Month 2 workouts. Today would normally have been Pure Cardio during my 6th week of this program but I decided to up the "ante" for this workout. I ventured out and decided to do Max Interval Circuit training instead! I have never sweated that much I don't think but I loved every minute of it. You begin with a 9 minute warm-up just as in month 2 but this time the exercises are different (awesome) and they are longer (45 seconds instead of 30 seconds) They do progressively get a little less in duration towards the end of the 3rd set of warm-ups but it is still crazy! I was dog tired even before the darn "actual workout" started. A little nervous....

During Month 1 you will do 2 circuits each with about 4 different exercises for 30 seconds a piece. You do each circuit 3 times each but during Month 2 in Max Intervals you have 3 circuits each lasting 45 seconds as well. There were a lot of new moves that I hadn't done for awhile during my first round of Insanity and I probably wasn't pushing myself enough but I actually couldn't LOL! My arms and legs were so dead by the time I was done. Overall, I think I may have left everything on the "floor" this time and I loved every minute of it.
